Why it matters
This incident highlights rising political tensions in Delhi and concerns regarding police conduct and the treatment of elected officials.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday (August 18, 2026) alleged that Delhi Police took its East Delhi Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar from his residence early in the morning and took him to an "undisclosed location".
