Model Code of Conduct takes effect in Dharapuram (SC) Assembly constituency in Tiruppur district

The Tiruppur district administration began enforcing Code of Conduct immediately after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced, on Monday afternoon, the byelection schedule for 101-Dharapuram (SC) Assembly Constituency.
The district Collector and District Election Officer Manish Narnaware said nine flying squads, nine static surveillance teams, and two video surveillance teams have been constituted for round-the-clock monitoring to enforce ECI guidelines.
Restrictions have been imposed on display of advertisements, pasting of posters, and wall-writings in public and private places in urban area.
In rural parts, election advertisements are permitted on private buildings with permission of the property owners, provided they do not cause inconvenience to the public.
