MobileMoney and UMB complete business training in Accra

MobileMoney Fintech LTD and UMB Bank have concluded a series of financial literacy and business training sessions for informal sector workers in Ghana. The program focused on customer service, digital tools, and access to specialized financial products like solar energy loans.

--> In Accra, Ghana, MobileMoney Fintech LTD, together with UMB Bank, completed the third and final financial literacy and business capacity-building training for members of the Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians Association. The event took place at the University of Ghana and concluded a series of three training sessions, with the two previous ones held in Kumasi and Takoradi, MyJoyOnline reports .
Charles Osei Owusu, Senior Manager for Business Development at MobileMoney Fintech LTD, said the programme was aimed at representatives of the informal sector, who play a significant role in Ghana's economy but often lack access to structured business support.
According to him, the series had previously trained members of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association and women working in markets. During the current session, participants were taught about customer service, financial literacy and digital tools for developing their own businesses.
