Mobile police station deployed to Najib’s residence
Police have deployed a mobile station near former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak’s residence to manage security during his potential transfer from prison to house arrest. Authorities have not yet confirmed the official status of the house arrest arrangement.

KUALA LUMPUR: A mobile police station has been deployed outside former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s residence in Jalan Langgak Duta here as part of security preparations for his possible transfer from prison to the residence.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Bakri Abdul Salam said the deployment is aimed at managing security, including the presence of media, supporters and neighbours, as well as potential traffic congestion.
But he stressed that the mobile police station is not intended to guard Najib around the clock.
“It is not for 24-hour security for Najib. It is mainly for security during the process of transferring him from prison to the residence,” he said when contacted yesterday.
He said the usual deployment for the mobile police station comprises a supervisor and two personnel, assisted by the Mobile Patrol Vehicle (MPV) unit.
