MLC flags non-disbursal of nutrition kits in Karnataka

Flagging the non-disbursal of nutrition kits to tribal families in Karnataka for the past five to six months, Congress MLC K. Shivakumar said around 50,000 tribal families across 11 districts are dependent on the welfare and nutritional support provided by the government. In a letter to the Chief Secretary, he pointed out that the nutrition kits are an important component of welfare measures intended to support the health and nutritional needs of vulnerable communities, particularly women, children and the elderly.
