After nearly six months of baseball, the final week of the 2026 regular season arrives with much still to be determined.

While the National League post-season picture has slowly come into focus, things in the American League remain unsettled after a busy weekend saw the standings flip yet again.

The Toronto Blue Jays ' series loss in Arlington sat right in the middle of it all, as they fell three games back of the final wild-card spot while the Texas Rangers capitalized on their pair of victories to move into the AL West lead.

As the Rangers slid up to the top of their division, the Cleveland Guardians completed a sweep of the Athletics to move one game clear of the Chicago White Sox and into first place in the AL Central.
