Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty on Friday, told Minister U.T. Khader that uninterrupted power supply was affected in his constituency following staff shortage with Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) and urged the government to immediately address the issue.
He was speaking at a review meeting chaired by Mr. Khader, who is in-charge of mitigating natural calamities in Udupi district. Mr. Shetty said whenever power supply gets disrupted due to heavy rains and winds, the restoration takes place nearly after a day.
Also, the MLA told the Minister that some roads in his constituency have become battered following non-repair for a long time and due to rains. They need to be restored immediately.
