Mizoram Assembly Speaker Lalbiakzama will lead the Indian delegation session on artificial intelligence at the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference being held in South Africa’s Cape Town, an official said here on Thursday (September 17, 2026).
Mr. Lalbiakzama has been designated the lead speaker for the session titled ‘Artificial Intelligence in Parliament: Current Applications, Prospects and Implementation Strategies’ at the conference, which began on September 13 and will conclude on September 20, he said.
The conference is deliberating upon issues related to strengthening parliamentary systems and promoting equitable development among Commonwealth countries, according to an official release.
Mr. Lalbiakzama is accompanied by Assembly Additional Secretary Lalthangmawia at the conference, it said.
