A 16-year-old girl, who went missing after returning from school to her residence near Sulur in Coimbatore district on Thursday evening, was later traced to Karur.
As per initial reports, the Class X student has been residing with her paternal aunt in a locality at Kannampalayam near Sulur. The girl returned from her school at Peelamedu around 5.30 p.m. in the school bus.
According to the police, the girl kept her bag at the house and left. The aunt lodged a complaint at the Sulur police station as the girl could not be traced at the houses of friends and other locations, where she was likely to visit.
