Marking the 57th College Foundation Day, the Madurai Institute of Social Sciences (MISS) celebrated its alumni meet and released a book on the occasion here on Friday.

Speakers hailed the founder late Captain DVP Raja, in whose memory, a book titled - Manithaneya Panbalar Captain Raja’s Ninaivalaigal (A humanitarian Raja’s memories), was compiled by alumnus M.S. Muthusamy, a former IPS officer, and released on the occasion.

Roots Industries India Private Limited Director Kavidasan, who was the chief guest, released the book. The first copy was received by the college secretary, D.V. Dharmasingh.
