Minority youth training centres in Keralam to be modernised, says Samsudheen

The UDF government will modernise minority youth training centres across the State by strengthening their digital and technological infrastructure, General Education Minister N. Samsudheen said here on Sunday.

He was inaugurating the Chavakkad Centre for Continuing Education and Minority Youth Training (CCMY), established as part of the State government’s 100-day action programme. N.K. Akbar, MLA presided over the function.

Mr. Samsudheen said the government was implementing several programmes aimed at the educational and socio-economic advancement of minority communities. More than 4,000 people had secured employment through the 24 existing training centres and 17 sub-centres in the State, he said.

As part of the 100-day programme, the training centres have been upgraded with CCTV surveillance and digital facilities, the Minister said.

Education was undergoing rapid transformation at the national and international levels and Kerala needed to respond by introducing new learning programmes, he said.
