Minnesota woman paid $500 to overnight box that held $30,000 for scammers

What looked like an ordinary overnight shipment turned into a scam intervention after a Minnesota shipping company worker became suspicious of a woman's unusually urgent request. She was prepared to pay $500 for overnight delivery and told staff that the box contained cookbooks. But her behaviour raised questions, and an employee's decision to take a closer look ultimately helped prevent her from losing $30,000. According to CBS Minnesota, which reported the incident, the shipping employee involved noticed that the woman appeared frantic and seemed to have rehearsed answers to questions about the package. When the employee's manager and police became involved, the box was opened and its contents revealed a large amount of cash.
