Ministry rejects leaked Namibia Air document
The Namibian Ministry of Works and Transport has officially distanced itself from a leaked document regarding a potential partnership with Ethiopian Airlines. The government clarified that no binding agreements have been made and that they are still exploring sustainable models for a new national airline.

THE Ministry of Works and Transport has distanced itself from a document circulating publicly about Namibia Air’s engagement with Ethiopian Airlines, saying it is not an official or authorised Government document and does not reflect any concluded agreement.
The Ministry said discussions with Ethiopian Airlines, local aviation operators and other stakeholders remain ongoing as Government assesses the most viable and sustainable model for operationalising the proposed national airline.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said it did not recognise the document as an accurate reflection of its work, deliberations or positions, and had neither published nor released it.
It also rejected suggestions that the document represented Government policy, decisions or concluded agreements, warning that presenting the material as official was misleading.
