Congress leaders gathered in front of their office in Shivamogga on Saturday afternoon after learning of Mr. Pradhan’s resignation. They burst crackers, raised slogans in support of democracy and against dictatorship, and distributed sweets to mark the occasion.
District Congress Committee (DCC) president R. Prasanna Kumar, former Minister Kimmane Ratnakar, MLC Balkhees Banu, and others were present.
