Minister refuses to divulge curriculum feedback amid OIA secrecy claims

The Education Minister says information about the feedback she personally gave on curriculum changes "does not exist", amid accusations of a culture of secrecy.

Erica Stanford is claiming her refusal to provide the information complies with the Official Information Act (OIA), despite it applying to officials and ministers' memories as well as recorded documentation.

The teacher who made the OIA request says the minister should not personally be requesting specific changes to the curriculum, and he's concerned by the "culture of secrecy" surrounding the curriculum changes.

Labour says there seem to be directives coming from the top with clear steps taken to obscure official information.
