Minister inspects Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road widening works

Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy inspected the widening of the Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road to four lanes. The project is intended to improve connectivity to the upcoming Bhogapuram international airport.

Road and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday inspected the ongoing widening of the Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road near Dorathota in Bheemili mandal and directed officials to speed up work on the key road connecting the region with the upcoming Bhogapuram international airport.
Mr. Janardhan said that the coalition government was giving priority to road development in the State and that providing safer and better travel facilities to the public was its objective.
The existing two-lane Bheemunipatnam-Narsipatnam road is being widened into a four-lane road at a cost of ₹34 crore, he said. Officials informed the Minister that 7.34% of the project had been completed, with ₹1.66 crore spent so far.
