Minister for Non-Resident Tamils’ Welfare K. Thennarasu inaugurated a library built at a cost of ₹22 lakh at the Sri Lankan Tamils Rehabilitation Camp at Gangaikondan near here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the rehabilitation camps of Sri Lankan Tamils across Tamil Nadu were being given facelift to ensure decent living for the residents by strengthening the basic infrastructure facilities in the camps. As part of this drive, a new library with internet facility had been built at a cost of ₹22 lakh in the Gangaikondan rehabilitation camp, which would be useful for the youths preparing for competitive examinations.
