Minister inaugurates floodlight box cricket pitch in Madurai
Minister R. Nirmalkumar inaugurated a new floodlight box cricket pitch at the Dr. M.G.R. Sports Stadium in Madurai. The facility, costing ₹42 lakh, is managed by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu and allows public booking via a mobile app.

Minister for Energy Resources and Law R. Nirmalkumar inaugurated the Chief Minister’s Youth Sports Box Cricket Floodlight Pitch at Dr. M.G.R. Sports Stadium here on Saturday.
To avail the facility, users must book the box cricket pitch by specifying their required time and paying the respective amount through the specially designed ‘Turf Town Mobile App.’
The government has fixed the fee at ₹700/- + 18% GST per hour. The pitch would operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
