Minister distributes welfare assistance, opens new facilities in Ramanathapuram

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises P. Mathan Raja distributed new smart family cards and various government welfare assistance to beneficiaries here on Saturday. Smart family cards were issued to 1,069 persons during the event.
Further, government welfare assistance amounting to a total of ₹11.55 lakh was provided to 106 beneficiaries.
The assistances comprised of new family cards to 88 beneficiaries through the District Supply and Consumer Protection Department; natural death and compensation assistance of ₹2.3 lakh to seven beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Farmers Security Scheme through the Revenue and Disaster Management Department; women’s Self-Help Group revolving fund loan of ₹6.2 lakh to eight beneficiaries through the District Women’s Development Corporation; petrol scooters fitted with auxiliary wheels worth ₹3.05 lakh to three beneficiaries through the Welfare of the Differently Abled Persons Department.
