Minister Anand inspects areas along the Adyar river

Minister N. Anand inspected the Adyar river area to oversee cleaning efforts ahead of the Northeast monsoon. He also directed officials to provide basic amenities like mobile toilets to local residents.

Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources N. Anand visited Thideer Nagar, a locality along the Adyar river on Monday.
A press release said work would be carried out to clean this stretch of Adyar river to ensure free flow of floodwater during the ensuing Northeast monsoon.
Following residents’ demands for basic amenities, including toilet facilities, he instructed officials to provide mobile toilets and other amenities. Saidapet MLA M. Arul Prakasam was also present.
