Minister accused of “ignoring” AIYF activist’s attempt to submit petition

The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) has accused the Minister for Industries, S. Keerthana, of allegedly ignoring an activist’s attempt to submit a petition during her visit to Kelavarapalli dam in Hosur on Wednesday.
The petition had called for immediate intervention to stem the damage from sewage pollution that was foaming up the waters of Kelavarpalli dam polluting the ground water, drinking water sources, agriculture and aquatic life. It is alleged that after inspecting Kelavarapalli reservoir and interacting with farmers, Ms. Keerthana got into the car. An AIYF functionary waved over the car’s windshield seeking the attention of the Minister. She allegedly did not roll down the window to receive the petition.
