Milky Mist Dairy Food Limited has commissioned a Skyr and Greek yoghurt producing facility with ultrafiltration technology at Perundurai in Tamil Nadu.
The company introduced ultrafiltration technology for manufacturing Skyr and Greek yoghurt in 2022. The new plant has 150 tonne-a-day capacity and has come up at an investment of ₹40 crore. “The company installed its customised multi-product yoghurt manufacturing facility in 2022 with a capacity of about 20 tonne-a-day. Since then, annual demand for the category has grown by more than 50 %,” the company said in a press release.
