Hundreds of people took part in a Milad-e-Sharif procession organised here on Monday (August 24) by the Madin Academy and other Sunni organisations to mark the 1,501st birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.

Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama (AP faction) president E. Sulaiman Musliyar inaugurated the procession. Madin Academy Chairman Syed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari delivered the Milad message.

Several leaders of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, Kerala Muslim Jamaath and Sunni Yuvajana Sangham participated in the procession. Large crowds gathered along the roads to watch the rally.
