A five-member gang allegedly robbed seven migrant workers of valuables worth lakhs at their rented home in Palarivattom in the early hours of Thursday (September 17, 2026).

According to the police, the accused allegedly trespassed into the home around 12.30 a.m. The victims were allegedly assaulted and forced to hand over 10 mobile phones collectively worth around ₹3.05 lakh, wallets, identity cards, ATM cards and other belongings. One of the victims was forced to reveal his UPI password under duress, following which the accused allegedly made a couple of UPI transactions totalling around ₹12,000.
