A 62-year-old migrant worker was killed after he was assaulted by a gang of four persons in Nolambur on Saturday (September 5, 2026) night.

City police said N. Abjith Mondal, a native of West Bengal, was working at a construction site in Gajalakshmi Nagar of Nolambur. Four persons from the same locality, who were in an inebriated condition, approached Mondal on Saturday night at about 10.15 p.m. and demanded a cigarette.
