Microsoft is developing a single Copilot application that will combine a standard AI chatbot with the ability to carry out complex work tasks and programming. The company plans to launch it by the end of summer 2026. This was announced Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella during the Build 2026 conference, reports Gizmodo. Users will be able to switch between three main modes within a single interface. Chat will handle routine queries, Cowork will carry out lengthy, multi-step tasks, and Code will provide GitHub Copilot's programming tools not only to developers but also to other users. According to data from Fortune, the app may also feature a toggle between personal and corporate Microsoft 365 Copilot accounts.
