Citing an internal communication, Bloomberg says that Cloud Operations and Innovation head Noelle Walsh addressed growing staff inquiries regarding power consumption, water demands, carbon output and the direct footprints that these massive server campuses leave on nearby neighbourhoods.Walsh acknowledged that escalating AI workloads have made hitting earlier greenhouse gas reduction pledges considerably harder.
