Microfinance scam probe: HC orders appearance of SIT head
The Kerala High Court has ordered the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to appear in court following dissatisfaction with the progress of the SNDP microfinance scam investigation. The court noted that despite previous extensions, the SIT has only filed final reports for a small fraction of the 124 cases.

The Kerala High Court has asked S. Sasidharan, the lead investigating officer in the special investigation team (SIT) probing the alleged SNDP microfinance scam, to appear before it on August 14.
The official’s presence was ordered after Justice A. Badharudeen expressed grave dissatisfaction over the report on the progress of the investigation.
The SIT head had filed a report stating that out of the 124 cases under investigation, final reports had been filed in 17 cases, and that no irregularities were found in 30 cases.
