Douglas, 82, says he and his co-star Turner, now 72, fell for each other while filming the blockbuster in Mexico, according to an excerpt published by People .
At the time, Douglas was separated from his then-wife Diandra Douglas , with whom he shares son Cameron.
“Kathleen was smart, funny, and sexy with a deep, sultry voice that became her signature,” he wrote.
“I instantly liked her, and we were immediately attracted to each other.”
