Miami plane crash: Dead and injured were all from two ground vehicles
A Boeing 767 cargo jet overshot the runway at Miami International Airport, colliding with two vehicles and resulting in five deaths and five injuries. The NTSB is currently investigating the scene and has recovered the flight data and cockpit voice recorders.

A Boeing 767 cargo jet that overshot the runway at Miami International Airport ploughed through two vehicles before stopping about 400m beyond the paved surface, accident investigators say.
Jennifer Homendy, chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), described the scene as “utter devastation” with “debris everywhere”.
The accident killed five people and injured five others, and Homendy said all the victims were from those two vehicles.
The jet hit a white Ford Econoline van after it went off the runway, leaving it “torn apart,” she said.
It had been transporting a cleaning crew within the airport perimeter and had seven people inside.
