The hot weather that settled in Latvia at the beginning of the week will start to recede by Friday. According to meteorologists' forecasts, the air temperature will significantly drop and remain more comfortable over the weekend.
On Thursday, summer heat will still persist. On the western coast of Kurzeme, the air will warm up to about +21 degrees, while in some areas of Latgale, thermometers may rise to +30.
However, from Friday to Sunday, the maximum temperature across the country will only reach +19...+24 degrees.
