Meta open sources code to let you make Muse AI gadgets

Meta has open-sourced the code for its 'Muse' AI agent, allowing users to build custom hardware gadgets using off-the-shelf components like ESP32 boards or Raspberry Pi. The company is also distributing a limited number of 'Muse Home Link' devices to help users integrate AI into their home automation setups.
Why it matters
This move signals a shift toward decentralized, DIY AI hardware, encouraging developers to experiment with AI agents outside of standard smartphone or cloud interfaces.
Meta now lets you make your own Muse gadgets that feature the company’s new AI agent with code that the company open sourced. The company suggests projects like loading Muse on a color E Ink display to show reminders, adding it to an HDMI stick so you can display Muse on a big screen, or putting Muse on a small touchscreen device to make what looks kind of like a DIY Muse Charm.
