Met: Expect dry weather in most parts of Kenya this week
The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting generally dry and sunny weather across most of the country for the second week of August. However, specific regions in the Western and Rift Valley areas are expected to receive rainfall, while the Central Highlands will experience cool, cloudy conditions.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has said that parts of the country are expected to experience generally dry weather between August 4 and August 10, according to the latest forecast.
However, rainfall is expected in parts of Western Kenya and the Rift Valley, including Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Kakamega, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kericho, Nyandarua, Nyeri and Murang'a counties.
The forecast also indicates intermittent cool and cloudy conditions in parts of Embu, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Meru, Murang'a, Nairobi, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kajiado, Taita Taveta, Marsabit and Wajir counties.
Daytime temperatures are expected to remain high, with average maximum temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius across much of Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu, Garissa, Wajir, Isiolo, Marsabit and Turkana counties.
