Messaging app Telegram down for thousands in Singapore
Messaging app Telegram experienced a significant service outage across Singapore and several other Southeast Asian countries on September 8. Thousands of users reported issues with the app, messaging, and login functions before services were restored later in the day.

Listen SINGAPORE – Services of messaging app Telegram have resumed in Singapore, hours after thousands of users reported experiencing a service outage on the morning of Sept 8.
The outage numbers were recorded on Downdetector, a website tracking outages by collating status reports from various sources.
By 6pm, Telegram services appear to be back up for most users, with the number of reports on Downdetector falling to 60.
Users began reporting issues with Telegram at around 10.20am, when over 1,500 reports were made.
The number of reports peaked at nearly 4,000, just after 10.30am.
