Mescom chairman asks KPTCL to supply uninterrupted quality power from 400 kV Kadandale sub-station

Mescom chairman K. Harish Kumar has directed KPTCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply from the new 400 kV Kadandale sub-station. The project aims to support industrial growth and resolve voltage fluctuation issues in the coastal region.
Why it matters
Infrastructure development is vital for the economic stability and industrial output of the coastal Karnataka region.
Mescom chairman K. Harish Kumar has instructed the KPTCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the coastal region from the new 400 kV power sub-station at Kadandale in Moodbidri taluk, Dakshina Kannada.
During his inspection of the sub-station on Friday, the chairman directed that the sub-station be operated smoothly and that it supplies quality power.
“Continuous power supply is a top priority for our government, considering the industrial growth of the coastal region and the public interest. This project has materialised thanks to the persistent efforts of Energy Minister K.J. George,” Mr. Kumar said.
During the visit, KPTCL’s Superintending Engineer Chaitanya said that the sub-station is a key project designed to provide uninterrupted, high-quality electricity to the coastal districts. It will ensure continuous power supply to the major industrial hubs and provide a permanent solution to voltage fluctuations and low-voltage issues often faced during the monsoon.
