Men step into heels to tackle cancer!

The Men in Heels Walkathon is an upcoming event in South Africa aimed at raising awareness for prostate and male breast cancer. Organizers emphasize the importance of early detection and breaking the stigma surrounding men's health checks.
Why it matters
Proactive health screenings are critical for early cancer diagnosis, yet many men avoid medical consultations due to social stigma or lack of symptoms.
MEN are being urged to stop ignoring warning signs and take their health seriously.

The call comes as the fourth Men in Heels Walkathon prepares to shine a spotlight on cancers affecting men.
The event will take place at Cedar Square Shopping Centre on Saturday, 10 October. It will use a fun and colourful walk to tackle a serious issue: raising awareness about prostate cancer, male breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
Running from 10am to 1pm, the walkathon will bring together men, families and supporters. The day aims to encourage men to speak up about their health and seek medical help when something does not feel right.
Founded by Lerato Molete of Black Cherrie Management Holdings, Men in Heels has been five years in the making. This year marks the initiative’s fourth walkathon.
