Speaking at the protest site, the founder of May 17 movement, Thirumurugan Gandhi, said that it was shameful that the Prime Minister Modi has come to flag off the project, which was initiated under the previous DMK government, while also denying funds for the Metro Rail scheme for Coimbatore and Madurai.
