A vehicle fire at Taylors Lakes, in Melbourne's north-western suburbs, has marked the sixth consecutive evening of firebombings across the Victorian capital.
In a separate incident, a man was arrested in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs following a fire at Oakleigh South.
Deakin University criminologist James Martin says the recent string of firebombings could be related to Victoria's crackdown on the illegal tobacco trade.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a house on Nepean Court in Taylors Lakes just after 11pm yesterday, finding a vehicle on fire in a double garage.
Emergency services said no-one was injured in the blaze, 30 kilometres north-west of central Melbourne.
