McLaren vows to bring back a manual supercar concept from the ‘60s
McLaren has announced plans to produce a limited run of a new manual-transmission supercar, the McL 6GT, inspired by a 1960s prototype. The vehicle will feature a non-electrified V8 engine and a focus on analog driving feedback, with production expected in 2028.

The British automaker attended the Monterey event with its first stick-shift supercar in three decades. Known as the McL 6GT, it’s still technically a concept, but McLaren claims a 100-unit production run is planned for 2028.
