Jon McConnell, Daina Moorehouse and Lisa O'Rourke are all through to medal fights in the European Boxing Championships, but Shannon Sweeney missed out on a quarter-final place after defeat in Sofia on Saturday.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist McConnell, who beat Turkey's Necat Ekinci on Thursday, claimed a 4-1 unanimous decision win against Poland's Damian Durkacz in his last-16 bout.

The 23-year-old will now face Italy's Gabriele Guidi Rontani in the quarter-finals on Monday.
