MCC inspects Outer Ring Road ahead of mega cleanliness drive

Ahead of the mega cleanliness drive planned across Mysuru on October 1 as part of the Centre-sponsored “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner M.K. Savita on Wednesday led a comprehensive inspection of the Outer Ring Road to assess cleanliness and civic infrastructure.
The inspection began at 7 a.m. from Hinkal junction and covered nearly 42 km of the Outer Ring Road towards Manipal Hospital.
During the inspection, officials assessed roadside cleanliness, solid waste and construction and demolition (C & D) waste, overgrown weeds and bushes, drains and UGD infrastructure, road conditions, streetlights and other civic issues. Ms. Savita directed the officials concerned to take necessary corrective measures at the respective locations.
