MCC continues to cite SIR as reason for delay in issuing birth, death certificate

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise continues to be the reason cited by the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) for delayed processing of applications for issuing birth and death certificates.
Following complaints over the delayed processing, MLC Ivan D’Souza met the earlier MCC Commissioner Ravichandra Nayak in July and the latter had assured of taking steps to streamline working of the Birth and Death Registration Cell handling the applications.
