PETALING JAYA: An MCA Youth leader who previously questioned Barisan Nasional's pact with PAS-led Perikatan Nasional has been told that she does not need to participate in BN's Negeri Sembilan election campaign.
MCA Youth secretary-general Saw Yee Fung said this was conveyed by MCA secretary-general Chong Sin Woon in a text message last night, which read: "Yes, you don't need to come for the Negeri Sembilan state election. Thank you."
Saw criticised the MCA central leadership's decision, questioning why the BN component could not tolerate differing voices from within, Sin Chew reported.
"We have always criticised DAP for suppressing freedom of speech (within the party).
