Donyell Malen put Roma 2-1 ahead in the 51st minute before going on to score again just seven minutes later. Carlos Espi got a goal back for the Madrid giants in the 83rd minute before Endrick equalised in the 85th minute. Antonio Rudiger scored the winning goal for Real Madrid in injury time. The match ended with Los Blancos securing a hard-fought 4-3 win away from home.
