The police have arrested two postgraduate students of a private college at K.G. Chavadi on charge of snatching the gold chain of an elderly woman at Vellalore in Coimbatore on Sunday (August 30, 2026). The police said that a woman student and her male classmate pursuing MBA were arrested for the crime.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the duo committed the crime to fund a lavish lifestyle and clear debts incurred by the male student.
