Mazda New Zealand is continuing what seems to be a mission to align the specification names of its various model ranges with an update to the evergreen (and now available in a new shade of actual green ) MX-5 sports car.

The previous Roadster GT has been replaced by the $61,990 Roadster Takami, which remains the most driver-focused MX-5 in the lineup. It carries a similar equipment level, including a Track mode for the dynamic stability control, 17-inch forged BBS wheels, red Brembo brake calipers and Bilstein dampers.

However, it also adds new Recaro sports seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara.
