Mayo LGFA calls for firm timetable on integration

Mayo LGFA has called on the integration of all three Gaelic games organisations to happen quickly as the fallout from the resignation of Mary McAleese continues.
McAleese resigned as the chairperson of the Integration Committee overseeing the amalgamation of the GAA, LGFA and Camogie earlier this month over her feeling that, 'people who are not entirely happy about the idea of including women in decision-making at the top level of Gaelic sports'.
The GAA's director general Tom Ryan rejected accusations on misogyny on RTÉ Radio, pointing out that a failure to reach agreement on "organisational structures" is the main reason behind the delay in the process.
But Mayo LGFA appear to concur with McAleese's sentiment in a statement released this evening in which they say no meeting of their county's Integration Committee took place this year.
