Market demand, experience in building facility to decide Amara Raja gigafactory expansion: Jayadev Galla
Amara Raja Group chairman Jayadev Galla stated that future expansion of their gigafactory in Telangana depends on market demand and the state's continued support. The company remains committed to its initial 16 GWh project investment.

The Amara Raja Group remains committed to implementing its ₹9,500 crore, 16 GWh Gigafactory project in Divitipally, near Hyderabad, but take a decision on expansion depending on market demand and the level of comfort it experienced building the facility.
As per the MOU with the State government, for the 262 acres land parcel received for the project, it is required to invest ₹9,500 crore, generate 4,000 jobs and create a capacity of 16 gigawatt- hour.
