The police on Saturday (August 22, 2026) an individual involved in two different murder cases at DG Peta village in Chandrasekharapuram (CS Puram) mandal, Markapuram district, and recovered gold ornaments and weapons.
Addressing a press conference in Ongole, Superintendent of Police V. Harshavardhan Raju said, “On the afternoon of August 13, 2026, the accused attacked Pavali Venkata Subbamma, 56, a resident of DG Peta, while she was returning home with a bundle of fodder and stole her gold chain and earrings. Her brother lodged a complaint at the CS Puram Police Station. Eight special teams were formed to investigate this case.”
