Longtime Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo is leaving Fox News Media after 12 years. The company provided no specific reason for the departure, and speculation regarding her future career moves has been dismissed by Vice President JD Vance.
Why it matters
The departure of a high-profile media personality from a major network often signals shifts in corporate strategy and political influence within the media landscape.
Maria Bartiromo, a longtime Fox Business anchor who is close with President Donald Trump, is leaving Fox News Media after more than 12 years, the company announced Thursday.
“Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,” the company said in a statement. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
Fox News Media did not explain her abrupt departure in its statement, which noted that the final episode of her Fox Business show “Mornings with Maria” aired Thursday morning. It also stated that her weekly Fox News show “Sunday Morning Futures” would now be hosted by Jason Chaffetz.
Fox News Media did not immediately respond to MS NOW’s request for additional information.
